Roster Violations

Nope; because player contracts will not expire until after teams have had the opportunity to extend contracts.  Therefore; you are allowed to pursue extensions with players that shouldn't be on your roster.  Further, your roster shouldn't have had been in violation earlier than this.  It is my fault I didn't enforce it before playoffs.  Consider yourself lucky you haven't had to do this earlier.

So we are still allowed to do extensions on players? And when do buyouts get taken off the books?

If the roster problems involve player buyouts (for example, I am over the cap by .2Mill) DO I still have to buy somebody else out or will those come off the books and I am fine?

Have to release them.  You should not be allowed to hold onto them until they are released.  This would allow you the luxury of extending contracts of players which shouldn't be on your roster.  This would provide many options that would be unfair to those who are under the salary cap.  Players aren't released until after the re-siging/buyout period.
