I approve, and I think this is an excellent deal for the Reds as they receive a young, bright MI in Escobar on the cheap.  Rolen and Uggla are off of the Reds books, but the Rockies will be getting plenty of veteran power on this end of the deal.  Plus, Rolen and Uggla are guaranteed starters in 2010.

One thought, the Jays paid only 3.5 to the Reds, so I think you wrote the offer the other way around

Reds confirm. As much as we will miss Rolen's fish eyes and Uggla's pop, this was a decision based on finances for now and for the future of this franchise. Plus the addition of Adan Lind will help lessen the blow of losing Uggla's bat.
