- Increase minimum contract value from $200k to $500k. This would include prospect contracts. All players signed to prospect contracts would be paid $500k instead of $200k. - Increase goalie extension values by 33%. We reduced D-man extension costs by this amount since their FP production wasn't commensurate to their pay. There's no doubt that goalies are the most valuable roster pieces in DNHL. I believe their extension value should be adjusted to be proportional with that. This would also force more decent goalie options into FA. - Change free buyout threshold to players making $500k or less. Getting rid of this entirely would help more, but I like having the ability to fill the bottom of my roster with unloadable players, to an extent anyway. - Freeze cap adjustments. Currently we adjust our cap relative to the actual NHL cap. I propose we freeze these adjustments until we get to about $4m-$5m average cap space in the league. This I would like to do immediately since I am due to post the cap for 16/17. There would only be a small increase since the NHL cap only increased $2.4m from last season. But still, I'd rather not increase at all at this point.
I agree with everything in BOLD. I see a major issue with the cap. I'm not sure exactly what the solution is, but I think something needs to be done. I think maybe instead of increasing the cap, maybe we decrease it over a certain amount of years. Just for example, $10m over 4 years, so $2.5m each year over 4 years.
Personally Rob, I think the number should be closer to $1-2m per team. I think the cap should create hard decisions come extension time, and that just isn't the case right now.

confirms this deal. I hate moving Lindholm the most. He is producing already, and has a pretty high ceiling. Etem also could really excel in the Rangers lineup if he can work his way up to a top line. Regardless, I felt moving those two was worth getting Larkin. I'm trying to load up on as many high specs as possible. I like Latta a little and will help with depth, and Clarkson is for cap purposes. Thanks marksman for the easy deal!
