Nick has announced today that he is retiring. While this deeply saddens this organization we are truly grateful for his loyal service and extraordinary play.
Nick's contract should be removed from the Wing's Team Page as per the rules:
Retired Players
All contracts for players who retire from the NHL are considered null and void.
I would once again like to thank this future Hall of Famer for his time with the Wings.
