D- Weber $8M (2011-2016)
LW- Galchenyuk $2.8M (2013-2016)

Wanted to get a bit more cap space and although I really like both these players I thought it would serve me better to have some room.

I wanted a third thing but I couldn't pass up both of these top players especially Galchenyuk and his age and potential. I hated to trade Kane but I needed help at multiple positions which Galchenyuk does since he is a C and a LW. I also needed help at D-men

That qualifies as a Blockbuster! Blues clear a good amount of cap. Rangers get two superb stars. Big trade guys.

Its an excellent deal in that both GMs were not scared to pull the trigger on good pieces.
And....both get what they want.

Rangers add 4.5m but get diversify scoring.
