REMINDER: Extensions signed before Aug 3 start in 2013-14

A reminder that we are into the off-season now that the Franchise NHL Finals have concluded.

Therefore all extensions signed between now (April 29th) and 17h00 ET August 3, 2013 will take effect next season (impact on the team's salary cap will be in 2013-14).


Example:

Player X, $3.5m (2012-2013)
receives a 3 extension for 1.0m per year on August 1, 2013. That extension will appear as:

Player X, $3.5m (2012-2013) >>> $1.0m (2015-2016)
