You only have $1m for a signing bonus.

Teams are allowed to make adjustments for the signing bonus, to say he does not have room is incorrect.  LAA did this.

No, that is not the reason.  The pick was made 4 hours after his 8 hour time limit expired.

It's too late to implement this year, but for next year, rather than auto-picking it might be better to let owners make up picks by selecting anyone not picked already.

Are we allowing the Angels to have Levi Michael rather than the auto-picked Matt Purke?  That doesn't seem to fair to the Royals who had to keep Crick imo.  We need a decision now, because that affects the people drafting after the pick.

I don't think we should make exceptions to the rules.  I have PMd Colby and hopefully he will be on and make a decision soon.

I agree.  I think he needs to keep Purke.

The Angels' situation is different.  The Royals wanted to change their pick after many others picked after them.  The Angels wanted their guy and not the autodraft posting before another pick was made.  Only the Astros have continued on with the draft.

The Angels made room for the signing of Levi by dropping Durbin (clears $500k of payroll).  I checked back on the Royals autodraft to make sure I am being consistent in my approach to draft disputes.

As Commissioner, I approve the Angels selection of Levi Michael.  The Astros are OTC. :judge:

Colby stated earlier in the draft as long as no one has picked after an auto pick, that pick can be changed... I however do think we need to make it 12 hours in between picks. Some of us are night owls and frequent the site at night, and others during the day. 8 hours is a work shift, not including commute. If someone doesn't have computer access at work, they might end up screwed. Or if they were sleeping while a pick was made and didn't check the site first thing the following AM. It is really asking a lot of people to be able to log on in 8 hours.

I submit that even if picks are made after an auto pick, that pick can be changed as long as the re-picked player has not been selected already.

Advantage: you can shorten the window to 4 hours inthe later rounds and you wouldn't get any complaints about missied picks. By that point, there is not a lot of differentiation between the players.

You can save that. I run 6 leagues and participate in 2 others with a FT career and family. I also travel the country frequently. Grown people got time.
